WEDGING, CLEANING UP AND FINISHED!

Once everyone tested and fitted their parts, we then prepared the top tenons in the bow and arms for glueing and wedging — the whole chair came together as one piece, solid and yet flexible.
And then proudly we displayed our finished continuous arm Windsor chairs, Cheryl, Bill, Ken, me and Greg — an amazing five-day course with James Mursell, of the Windsor Workshop: http://www.thewindsorworkshop.co.uk

What a great record of the week! Can’t believe it was two weeks ago already.

    Best wishes

    • Thanks James — I hope you won’t be too critical of my literary license: I justify it because on my first course I did split the ash and turn the legs & stretchers! In these posts I always want to tell the big picture! Have a great Easter break, David

      • Fascinating journey and a beautiful end result – what transformation and obvious joy! I hope to test out the shapely seat 🙂
