Fier is a medium sized town of 55k people. It relies upon the oil, gas and bitumen industry, and is about 20 miles from the Adriatic coast. It sports a university with a building that looks just a tiny bit over designed! Though mainly Orthodox, the Central Mosque dominates the centre.
