I’m not one for snapping pics of food, but I couldn’t resist this! A seafood antipasti plate* to start, ‘seafruit’ risotto (eaten before snapped) and a plate of fresh fruits — mmm!
Finding the restaurant was a truly Albanian experience — some of my best finds have required long dusty searches, trudging on foot! I knew it was in the high street, but where? I asked four people, each appearing to know of it, but none gave me the same directions. At last I found three Albanian lads who led my to an ally alongside shop. I walked through, found a door with PULEBARDAH painted over, went in, up a flight of stairs (it felt like offices) and though a door into an elegant restaurant! The food and service was wonderful — what a treat.
*The item on the stick is a Sea Urchin — yum!
