Continuing my journey by fugon, another hour on from Korce is Erseke — a small town of 4,000 people sitting at the foot of the Gramos mountains. A new church established in the town twenty years ago; it’s grown and a larger building is being built. Also, a residential centre called Udhekryq was planted and is now thriving, it’s linked to Torch Bearers, an international Christian mission which has roots in the UK.
In winter Udhekryq run a bible school, and in summer a residential and outdoor centre ministry. Eric Gundy (top-left) leads the bible school, and Asim (bottom-right) is a key leader –also a great BBQ chef! They have good group accommodation and a growing range of activities. They’ve just acquired the adjacent redundant cheese factory (mid-right) to grow their facilities.
