My first visit to Albania was in 2007 when Andrew Eastham and I, on behalf of Fellowship Afloat (FACT) were invited to present training to an annual Christian summer camp conference (RrKK) in the northern seaside town of Shëngjin. This first point of contact has created a friendship with Rachel Wilson, founder and CEO of Shkëndijë Foundation.
I’ve since become a director of that Albanian NGO, which serves children and young people, providing social and moral education and an introduction to the Christian faith.
I have continued to visit and explore the country year by year, and made it my mission to meet new people and groups across the faith groups and also with those who have none, always keen to make connections. I’ve grown to love the country and its people.
