On our last day Robyn generously organised a three hour food & architecture tour of Greenwich Village. We joined with a dozen others led by a crazy and excitable local and sampled dishes and produce from “the village” on the west side of Lower Manhattan, the once bohemian capital of the city, and still very much the place to be seen and to live. At Rafele’s we enjoyed Melanzana, a delicious roll of thin eggplant slices filled with buffalo mozzarella served in a tomato sauce and a glass of prosecco.
